GOD or ALLAH

Bericht door ric0 »

Bible:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Koran:

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;

Most Gracious, Most Merciful;

Master of the Day of Judgment.

Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.

Show us the straight way,

The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. (Sure 1:1-7)

Could it be possible that Christians and Moslems have the same God? We discussed earlier in the article (Mohammed and the angel Gabriel) and found out that the angel Gabriel who appeared to Mohammed could not have been the same angel Gabriel who appeared several times in the Bible.

Even though the word Allah in Arabic means God, still it does not mean that he is the God of the Bible. In the Bible we read about another god who want to call himself God:

and even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God (2 Corinthians 4:3).

Bible: God of the Bible, “the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other” (Deuternomy 4:39).

Koran: Allah of the Koran, “And your God is One God. There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful” (Sure 2:163).

Koran: Allah of the Koran, “LAA ELAAHA ELLA HOO.” (There is no other god besides Him. Mohammed is his messenger.)

Bible: God of the Bible “This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3).

Moslems have convinced the whole world about the idea of the three heavenly religions with the three heavenly books. If God is one, why would He need three religions or three books? It is true that many roads lead to Rome; but according to the Bible there is only one way which leads to God, and that way is Jesus Christ, who said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me” (John 14:6)

Do we have one God who gave us one book, one faith and one way to reach Him? Or are there three gods, of which one of them is the true God? Let us read together some verses from the Bible and the Koran that we may see how the Christians and the Moslems indeed have a different God.

Koran: “O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust” (Sure 5:51).

Bible: “Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God” (John 16:2).

Mohammed said he is the servant of the God of Moses and Christ, the God of the Jews and the Christians. Still, he was not ashamed to command his followers to “take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors” Today we find Moslems all over the Christian world receiving refuge, help and protection from the westerners. Then they shamelessly go even further than that, asking churches to help them build their mosques. This also is part of their holy war -- what professional liars!

Bible: God of love. “But I say to you, do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also” (Matthew 5:39).

Koran: god of hate. “O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you” (Koran 9:123)

Koran: “O Prophet! Rouse the Believers to the fight” (Sure 8:65)

Bible: “Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place; for all who take the sword will perish by the sword” (Matthew 26:52).

Bible: God wants us to make the choice, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Koran: Allah chose the way for us, “This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed my favour unto you, and have chosen for you as your religion Islam” (Sure 5:3).

That’s why we see many so-called Christians in the West changing their religion and becoming Moslems, because they are taught to make the choice for themselves apart of what their families and nations have chosen. In Islamic countries it is very different, for Satan has kept them in the bondage which their families and nations have chosen; and according to the law they are not allowed to change their religion. As it is written in the holy Koran,

“And if any of you turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein” (Sure 2:217).

“But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks” (Sure 4:89).

“The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter” (Sure 5:33)

UNITY OF THE FAITH

Koran: “We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will” (Sure 3:84).

Bible: “In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world” (Hebrews 1:1).

How did God speak to us through His Son? “The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him” (John 3:35).

How we can receive this life? By believing the love of God, for “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Koran: Denying the sonship of Jesus Christ, “The Christians call Christ the son of Allah… Allah's curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the Truth!”(Sure 9:30).

Koran: Denying the cross of Christ, “But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them” (Sure 4:157).

Finally, our God is one. He never changes. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8). His word, message and His plan of salvation is still the same today as yesterday and will be the same tomorrow, till the day when He returns; as it is written, “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, every one who pierced him; and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him” (Revelation 1:7). He will enter our world again not as a saviour, but as a king who will destroy all the false gods, and then “every knee [shall] bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10).

Jesus came to our world in order to deliver us from sin, death and demons. Those who trust Him for deliverance will be saved and be removed from darkness into light, listen to Him saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" ( John 8:12).

That’s why we have to choose between the Bible and the Koran, between God our father or Allah; for only one of them is the true God.
When you believe in all the good things of the Gospel and reject everything you think is bad.You don't believe the Gospel but you believe yourself...(augustine)

Why stop there? Why limit your choices? Consider:
  1. Allah is the true God!
  2. God is the true God!
  3. Wodan is the true God!
  4. Ra is the true God!
  5. Vishnu is the true God!
  6. Zeus is the true God!
  7. The flying Spagetti Monster is the true God!
  8. or ............ is the true God! [fill in the blanks]
  9. ...or none of the above! Simply because God does not exist!
Personally I go for option 9, that is is:
"There is no God because there simply is no God!"

...nothing to fight for and nothing to die for (free interpretation of John Lennon's "Imagine").
