Inlogproblemen

Zijn er hier andere mensen die problemen hebben net na het inloggen? Ik wou gisteren enkele nieuwe posts lanceren net nadat ik ingelogd had, maar dat lukte niet. Onderaan stond ik 2 maal genoteerd eenmaal als "guest" en ook ingelogd als "Patrick" Bovenaan stond ik blijkbaar terug uitgelogd. Vandaag blijkt het weer wel te werken, keep my fingers crossed though.

Het is mosterd na de maaltijd, maar ik kon er zelfs niet eens meer in om te zeggen dat ik een probleem had, althans in deze thread. Typisch, want ergens anders had ik juist een nieuwe topic geplaatst zonder problemen. Hoe dan ook, nu kan ik er dus wel weer in. :)

Heb van het main forum de volgende verklaring voor het inlogprobleem gekregen, en ook hoe we er voorlopig kunnen aan remediëren :

Ultimately, the situation is caused by the cookie of the main forum. It is not specific enough. It is set up so that it will be sent to any page from the domain faithfreedom.org. That means your forum will, at least at times, receive a cookie that it hasn't set and whose contents are unfamiliar to it. It's no wonder you get Invalid_session errors, are unable to log in, etc.

The long term solution is to configure the cookie in question to be associated with a more specific URL. That will, by the way, result in the usual login problems at the main forum.

What you at Dutch FFI can do even without WebMaster's help is delete the offensive cookie before loading any page from your own forum. It's located in your cookie folder, e.g., in C:\Windows\Cookies.

To make the deletion fast, you can creat a shortcut to your Cookies directory and place it on the desktop. In Windows 98 (and possibly later versions as well), that can be done by right-clicking on the desktop. From the menu, choose New > Shortcut (or something to that effect). Then just write the path of the folder.

Alternatively, instead of creating a shortcut to the folder, you can create a shortcut that deletes the cookie right away. Replace the previous cookie folder path with a command similar to the following:

C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\DELTREE.EXE c:\windows\cookies\jaska@faithfreedom*

What the shortcut then does is run deltree.exe with the argument c:\windows\cookies\jaska@faithfreedom*

Heb één en ander uitgeprobeerd en het werkt inderdaad.

Ik hoop wel dat een definitieve oplossing niet op zich laat wachten!

Wat je ook kan proberen zoalng er geen definitieve oplossing is, is inloggen om je privé berichten te lezen en vandaaruit naar het forum trekken.

Het is me gelukt weer in te loggen, maar pas nadat ik alle cookies (inclusief die van de Internationale FFI site) had verwijdert.
